Holy Trinity Cathedral is Auckland's modern Anglican cathedral, opened in the 1960s and set beside St Mary's Church, a large wooden Gothic church from the 1880s. Together they make an easy architectural stop in Parnell, with the contrast between the modern cathedral and the older timber church being the main reason to visit.
