Kinder House

Kinder House is an 1850s timber house in Parnell, built for John Kinder, an Anglican headmaster, artist, and photographer. The interiors are not preserved as a period house, but the building still gives a good sense of early colonial Auckland.

The house is now used for small exhibitions and local arts events. It is best treated as a short stop while walking around Parnell rather than a major museum visit.
