Eton, on the east coast about a 45-minute drive from Port Vila, is the better-known of Efate's two blue holes — a small but vivid swimming spot where a freshwater spring meets the river estuary. The water is cool, glass-clear, and ringed by jungle, with a rope swing on a banyan branch.
The site is on village land and a small entrance fee applies. It is a popular weekend escape for Port Vila families. The Nanda Blue Hole and Riri Blue Hole, both further north on the east coast, are quieter alternatives if you want to combine them on the round-island drive.
