There is essentially one thing to do at Ardenica, and it is worth doing properly: visit the monastery, walk its courtyards, and take in the view from the pine ridge. The whole site can be covered in an hour or two. Bring a sun hat in summer — the hill is exposed once you step off the colonnade.
