Aghjots Vank is a ruined medieval monastery hidden in the hills and forest above Garni. It asks more effort than Garni Temple or the Symphony of Stones, but that effort is exactly why it feels rewarding.
Most visitors reach it as a hike or rough-track excursion, so go with good directions, water, and realistic timing. The surviving carved stone and quiet setting make it one of the better choices around Garni if you want a less polished Armenian monastery experience.
