St. Anton is on the main Vienna-Innsbruck-Zürich railway line, with direct ICE and Railjet trains from Munich, Vienna, Zürich, and Innsbruck. The journey from Zürich airport takes about two and a half hours and is the most popular access from outside Austria; ski boots and bags travel free on Austrian trains.
By air, the nearest international airports are Innsbruck (90 minutes by car or train), Zürich (2.5 hours), and Munich (3 hours). Resort transfer buses run from all three.
Lech, Zürs, Stuben, and St. Christoph have no train station; the resort village of Langen am Arlberg (one stop west of St. Anton) is the train station for Lech, with a frequent bus connecting up the Flexen road. In winter the road over the Arlberg pass is occasionally closed for avalanche control — the Arlberg rail tunnel underneath stays open.
