The parish church of Imst is an unusually tall Gothic structure for a town of this size, with a 84-metre spire — the highest in Tyrol — that you can see from miles away in the valley. The current building dates from the late 15th century and was painstakingly restored after a fire in 1822.
The interior is plainer than the exterior promises, with whitewashed vaults, a Baroque high altar, and some good 17th-century frescoes around the choir. Worth a brief stop if you are walking through the old town.
