A long-running coffeehouse on the Stadtplatz, named for Josef Werndl, the 19th-century industrialist who turned Steyr into an arms-making powerhouse. The interior is dark wood, papered with old company history. The cake counter is the main attraction — Sachertorte, Topfentorte, and seasonal apricot specialities.
