Finnegan's Irish Pub

Finnegan's, on A. Alizade Street, is the oldest of Baku's expat pubs and still one of the busiest. The interior is the familiar Irish pub kit — dark wood panelling, Guinness signs, big screens — but the place is well-run, the food is decent, and the crowd is a slice of the international oil business.

Live music several nights a week, busy quiz nights, and a long roster of imported beers. Prices are higher than at an Azeri restaurant but lower than the boulevard hotel bars. The same block contains several similar bars, making it the de-facto Baku expat strip.
