Getting There

Babek district is accessible from Nakhchivan city, which lies about 6 kilometres to the east of the district centre at Tezekend. The road connection is good and the journey takes around 15 minutes by car. Shared minibuses (marshrutkas) run between Nakhchivan city and villages within the district.

Nakhchivan city is served by Nakhchivan International Airport with flights from Baku, Istanbul, and a few other destinations. The airport is the main entry point to the autonomous republic; no land connection to Azerbaijan proper exists due to the Armenian territory between them.
