A Het Zuid institution since 1962. Ciro's does the classic Flemish brasserie repertoire: stoofvlees (beef stewed slowly in dark beer), vol-au-vent, paling in 't groen, steak frites with béarnaise. The room is unchanged from the 1960s — dark wood, leather banquettes, mirrored walls — and the service is professional and unhurried in the old-school manner.
Not cheap, but not unreasonable for what is delivered. Reservations essential at weekends. A short walk from the KMSKA, ideal for an early dinner after the museum closes.
