The Belgian Military Cemetery in Lier holds the graves of soldiers from the two World Wars, most of them Belgian First World War dead. British and Canadian soldiers are also buried here.
It is a quiet, sober stop on the edge of town, best suited to travellers with an interest in wartime history rather than casual sightseeing.
