Wervik is small and entirely walkable. The town centre, the National Tobacco Museum, and the river are within ten minutes of each other on foot. Cyclists continuing along the Lys will follow the towpath east toward Ypres or west toward Kortrijk and eventually Ghent; the route is well signed. Bicycle hire is not available in Wervik itself, but can be arranged in Kortrijk or Ypres if you are planning a day on the Lys. There is no local bus network worth relying on for visitors.
