By train. Zottegem is on the Brussels–Kortrijk and Ghent–Geraardsbergen lines and is well connected by frequent regional trains. Ghent is about 25 minutes, Brussels under an hour, Kortrijk roughly 45 minutes. The station is a five-minute walk from the central square.
By car. The N42 runs north–south through the town and connects to the E40 motorway about 15 km north. Parking around the centre is paid but easy to find.
By bike. The Flemish Ardennes cycling network passes through Zottegem. Many cyclists arrive by train with bikes and ride loops out into the surrounding hills.
