The Arnaudija Mosque is one of the older surviving mosques in Banja Luka, built in the 17th century and relatively well preserved compared to the Ferhadija, which was destroyed in the war. The mosque occupies a quiet courtyard in the Arnaudija neighbourhood and is an active place of worship.
The architecture is simpler than the Ferhadija — a single dome and minaret, the characteristic proportions of a provincial Ottoman mosque — but the setting is pleasant and the interior, which can be visited outside prayer times with permission, retains original Ottoman detailing. It offers a quieter counterpoint to the more prominent Ferhadija.
