The Muzej Grada Zenice covers the long arc of the area's past: Roman settlement at Bilino Polje, medieval Bosnian stećci tombstones, Ottoman crafts, and a striking section on the iron and steel works that defined the city through the 20th century. The presentation is old-school — wooden cases, hand-typed labels — but the collection is the best available for understanding what Zenica is.
Open mornings and early afternoons most weekdays. Allow about an hour, more if you read the steelworks panels closely: they convey both the pride and the cost of being Yugoslavia's main industrial centre.
