Koprivshtitsa rewards slow walking. The six house-museums are spread across the town, each within ten minutes on foot from the central square. A combined ticket covers all of them — buy it at the first museum you visit. Beyond the museums, the cobbled lanes, painted facades, and carved wooden balconies overhanging the Topolnitsa river are themselves the main attraction.
The most impressive single house is the Oslekov House, with its panelled ceilings and Damascus-trade wealth on vivid display. For history, the Kableshkov House carries more weight — this is where the April Uprising of 1876 was launched. If you only have time for two, start there.
The town square and the old bridge over the Topolnitsa are the natural gathering points. In the evening, with the day-trippers gone, the lanes empty out and the place recovers something of its 19th-century quiet.
