The food in Sozopol is, predictably, fish. The town has been a fishing port for two and a half thousand years and the boats still come in early most mornings. Beyond the obvious — grilled mackerel, mussels, fried sprats — there is good Bulgarian cooking: shopska salad, kavarma, banitsa for breakfast. Old Town restaurants charge a 30–50% premium over the new town, but the setting is part of the reason you came.
