Mehana Neptun is a traditional tavern in a 19th-century wooden house in the Old Town, with a terrace that drops away over the harbour. The menu is straight Black Sea: grilled fish by the kilo, octopus salad, mussels in white wine, kavarma in a clay pot. Prices are higher than in inland Bulgaria but well within reason for a tourist town in season.
Book ahead on a summer evening — the terrace is the best dining view in Sozopol and goes fast.
