Central Beach (Northern Beach)

The smaller of Sozopol's two town beaches sits in a sheltered cove on the north side of the Old Town peninsula. It is more compact than Harmanite but the water is calmer — protected from the prevailing wind by the headland — and it is a five-minute walk from anywhere in the Old Town.

The beach can be busy on August weekends. The cafes overlooking it from the cliff path are the right place to wait out the midday sun.
