St Helier is served by Jersey Airport, about 8 kilometres west of town, with flights from London (Gatwick, Heathrow, City, Stansted), several UK regional airports, and some European cities. The flight from London takes under an hour. Condor Ferries runs high-speed catamarans from Poole (approximately 3 hours) and St Malo in Brittany (under 2 hours), as well as a conventional ferry from Portsmouth (overnight). The ferry from St Malo is a particularly attractive option — a short crossing from France with good sea views of the Norman coast and the approach to Jersey's harbour.
Bus 15 connects the airport to St Helier town centre. Taxis are plentiful at the airport and reasonable by island standards.
