Betina sits on the north coast, just a couple of kilometres east of Murter town. It is a quieter, more residential village — stone houses, narrow lanes, an old harbour — with a small museum dedicated to traditional wooden boatbuilding that is one of the more thoughtful museums in central Dalmatia.
A waterside path runs west from Betina to Murter town in about 20 minutes, passing several small pebble coves where you can swim. The village's parish church of St Francis stands above the harbour.
