Pag Triangle

The Pag Triangle (Paški trokut) is an irregular quadrilateral landform on the bare limestone of Pag island, located near the village of Caska adjacent to Novalja. It consists of three ground-level linear ridges forming a rough triangular shape, clearly visible from above. The origin of the formation — whether natural erosion, ancient agricultural or ritual construction, or some other process — has never been definitively established, which has made it a minor point of curiosity and speculation among those interested in unexplained geological or archaeological features.

The scale is substantial: the main lines are several hundred metres long, and the triangular form is clear from aerial photography. There is no established visitor infrastructure and reaching the site requires a walk across open karst. It is the kind of place that will reward those who like hunting down minor mysteries on foot, but it is not a conventional sight with explanatory panels or managed access. The coastal scenery around Caska Cove, which the Pag Triangle overlooks, is itself pleasant enough to justify the walk.
