The Egon Schiele Centrum Museum links Český Krumlov to one of the most important artists of early modernism. Schiele lived and worked here briefly, painting the town's steep roofs, river bends, and uneasy streets in the period around his Dead Town series.
The museum presents Schiele's connection to the town alongside changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. It is one of the main indoor stops in Český Krumlov after the castle and old-town walk.
