Náchod sits on the railway line from Hradec Králové to Meziměstí; direct trains from Prague run via Hradec Králové or Pardubice and take about three hours. By car, it's about two and a half hours from Prague on the D11 motorway and then the I/33 road. There is no airport; the nearest international hubs are Prague and Wrocław (Poland), each roughly two hours' drive.
The Polish border at Náchod-Běloves is open and busy. Buses from town cross into Kudowa-Zdrój in fifteen minutes; from there onward trains and buses serve Kłodzko, Wałbrzych, and Wrocław.
