Skovshoved Hotel's restaurant occupies a white harbourside building at the small fishing harbour of the same name, just south of Charlottenlund. The kitchen leans on local and seasonal produce — fish from the Øresund, game in autumn, vegetables from small Danish suppliers — and the cooking is confident without being showy. The terrace looks directly over the harbour and the strait towards Sweden, making it one of the better-positioned restaurants within the municipality.
The menu changes with the seasons but typically includes a fish of the day, a handful of meat dishes, and a short dessert list. Prices are in line with the neighbourhood: not cheap, but fair for what you get. Booking ahead is advisable at weekends and during summer. From Charlottenlund station it is a short walk south along the coastal road.
