Frilandsmuseet

Frilandsmuseet is one of Europe's great open-air museums, spread across a large green site north of Copenhagen. More than 50 historic farms, cottages, mills, and workshops have been moved here from across Denmark and rebuilt as small pieces of rural life.

The scale makes it feel less like a museum building and more like a country walk through several centuries of Danish architecture. Demonstrations, horse-drawn carriages, picnic spots, and family-friendly activities make it especially good with children.
