Køge Marina is not the town's historic centre, but it is a pleasant change of mood after the old square and timbered houses. The harbour opens onto Køge Bay, with boats, breakwaters, and the flat coastal light that makes this stretch of Zealand feel bigger than it is.
Come for an easy walk rather than a major sight. It works well in summer, when the marina has a relaxed local rhythm and the water gives Køge a softer edge than the brick lanes around the market square.
