Vordingborg is on the main railway line between Copenhagen and Rødby (the ferry port for Germany). Direct trains run from Copenhagen Central Station roughly twice an hour and take about 75 minutes. By car it is around 100 km south of Copenhagen via the E47/E55 motorway. The town is a natural stopping point when driving between Copenhagen and the island of Møn.
