Vordingborg's main draw is its medieval heritage centred on the castle ruins. The Goose Tower and the Denmark's Borgcenter museum together make for a solid half-day. The botanical garden alongside the ruins is free to wander and a pleasant detour, particularly in summer. For a broader view of the landscape, the short drive south to the Masnedsund Bridge viewpoint is worth the effort.
