Borðoy's attractions are split between the town of Klaksvík at the south end of the island — fishing capital, modernist church, brewery — and the wild north, where the road runs through a string of small fjord-side villages and ends abruptly at the abandoned settlement of Múli. The big hike is the climb up Klakkur for the view back over Klaksvík and the surrounding islands.
