Lumberjack-themed traditional Finnish on Senate Square — reindeer, elk, salmon

A bear-skin-and-axes traditional Finnish restaurant occupying a corner of Senate Square. The conceit — a 1920s logging camp — is on the kitsch side, but the food is the real article: smoked reindeer, sautéed elk, Karelian stew, smoked salmon, all the cloudberry desserts you might want.

Touristy and not cheap, but a useful introduction if you want to try the full range of Finnish meats in one sitting. Book ahead in cruise season.
