Tsahkaljoki Falls is an easy way to get a taste of Kilpisjärvi's rougher landscape without committing to a long fell hike. The trail from the village follows the river to a series of small cascades, with a shelter and campfire site nearby.
It is not a huge waterfall, but it is close, scenic, and useful on a day when the higher slopes are in poor weather.
