Getting There

By train: Mont-de-Marsan has a train station with regular services to Bordeaux (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes) and Bayonne (approximately 1 hour). Both connections run several times a day. From Bordeaux there are fast TGV connections to Paris and the rest of France. SNCF's TER services cover the local routes; book in advance at weekdays.

By car: The A65 motorway (Pau–Langon) passes east of the town, with a dedicated exit for Mont-de-Marsan. From Bordeaux the drive is about an hour and a quarter; from Bayonne about an hour. The motorway is a toll road. The town itself is compact and parking is available in the centre, though it fills during the Fêtes.

By bus: Regional coach services connect Mont-de-Marsan with neighbouring towns, but for most visitors the train or car will be more practical.
