Getting There

Limoges-Bénédictins station is the main railway station and is served by trains from Paris Austerlitz (about 3 hours on direct trains), Bordeaux (2.5 hours), and Brive-la-Gaillarde (1 hour). The station building itself is worth seeing — a spectacular Art Deco and neo-Byzantine structure from 1929, with a domed tower and elaborate ceramic decoration, considered one of the most beautiful railway stations in France.

Limoges also has a small international airport (Limoges Bellegarde Airport) west of the city, with regular flights to London and other European cities. The airport is about 10 km from the city centre.

By car, Limoges is on the A20 motorway from Paris (about 3.5 hours) and the N141 from Bordeaux.
