Calvi's main beach is the long sandy crescent that begins at the marina and runs east for some six kilometres. The sand is fine and pale, the slope gentle, and the water exceptionally clear; the umbrella pines behind the beach give shade when you want it.
The town end has cafes, sun-bed rentals and small beach clubs. Further east the crowds thin out, and the very last stretch — under the railway — is almost empty in season. For a small rocky cove with a snorkelling reef, walk or drive out to the Revellata peninsula west of town.
