The curved harbour quay below the citadel is the heart of Calvi. Sailing yachts line up bow-on to the quay, restaurants spread tables across the pavement, and the evening passeggiata draws everyone who can walk.
This is the spot for an apéritif at sunset, with the western sun lighting the citadel walls in orange. Most of the harbour-front restaurants are decent and overpriced; better food is found a few streets back.
