Opened in 2013, this park along the banks of the Seine was designed to evoke the landscapes the Impressionists painted in this area. The planting scheme draws on the colours and textures of Monet's garden at Giverny — water lilies, irises, ornamental grasses, and wildflower meadows — arranged around a series of ponds and walkways.
It's a genuinely beautiful municipal park rather than a gimmicky theme garden. The water features reflect the sky in a way that does, in fairness, recall certain Impressionist canvases. Best in late spring and early summer when the planting is at its peak. Free entry, and a good place to pause if you're walking between the Château de Malmaison and the Île des Impressionnistes.
