Things to Do

Rueil-Malmaison is a one-château town in the best sense. The Château de Malmaison and its satellite buildings are the reason to come, and they reward a half-day easily. Beyond the Napoleonic estate, the town offers a fine riverside walk, a couple of notable parks, and a striking WWII memorial on the heights of Mont-Valérien. Nearby Chatou adds the Impressionist connection that this stretch of the Seine is famous for.
