L'Entre Pots

L'Entre Pots is consistently the best table in Pézenas — the kind of place that gets serious about local produce without making it feel like a statement. The wine list is strong and regional, and if you are undecided ask for the "Elixir" from Domaine Condamine Bertrand, a Coteaux du Languedoc estate that reliably delivers. The kitchen does excellent things with sweetbreads and chanterelles when the season allows.

The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays, which catches people out, so plan accordingly. It books up fast in summer, especially at weekends — calling ahead is not optional so much as essential. Prices are moderate for the quality: this is not a tourist trap inflating prices because there is nowhere else to go; it is a good restaurant that happens to be in a small town.
