The small manor house where Leonardo da Vinci lived from 1516 until his death in 1519, invited by Francois I with the title of "first painter, engineer, and architect to the King." The house contains scale models of Leonardo's machines built from his notebooks. The garden has larger reconstructions scattered among the trees. A more intimate visit than the chateau, and for Leonardo fans, the more meaningful one.
