Fondation du Doute

Fluxus art collection, mostly drawn from Ben Vautier and friends

The Fondation du Doute is a small, deliberately weird museum dedicated to the Fluxus art movement of the 1960s and 70s, opened in 2013 in a converted couvent next to the château. The core of the collection comes from Ben Vautier — the French artist known for his hand-painted "Ben dit la vérité" signs — and includes work by Yoko Ono, John Cage, George Brecht, and other Fluxus figures.

The display is intentionally chaotic — handwritten signs spill out into the courtyard, video loops play in the corners of the cloister, and visitors are encouraged to handle and rearrange things. It is the most unexpected museum in town and the obvious counterweight to the château across the road. Closed Mondays.
