Amiens is well connected by train. TGV services from Paris Gare du Nord take about 70 minutes; the mainline TER services take about 90 minutes but run more frequently. From Lille, trains take about 45 minutes. The station is about ten minutes' walk from the cathedral.
By car from Paris, take the A1 autoroute north and exit for Amiens — a straightforward journey of about 120 kilometres. Amiens does not have its own airport; the nearest with significant connections are Paris CDG and Lille.
