Port de Deauville

Marina on the mouth of the Touques, with yachts, restaurants and a flea market

The Port de Deauville is a smart yacht marina at the mouth of the Touques river, opened in 1975 to give cruisers a base on the Norman coast. Several hundred boats are moored along its pontoons; behind the quayside, a row of brasseries and gelaterias makes it a pleasant alternative to the seafront for an early evening drink.

The Tuesday morning antique and bric-à-brac market on the port square draws a serious crowd of dealers and buyers. The port also hosts occasional regattas and is the embarkation point for short sea cruises along the Côte Fleurie. From the lock gates you can watch larger yachts coming and going on the high tide.
