Built in 1852 as a winter circus, the Cirque d'Hiver is one of Paris's more unusual 19th-century performance buildings. It is now used mostly for concerts, shows, and fashion events, but the round circus architecture still makes it worth noticing when walking between the Marais and the 11th arrondissement.
