Eglise de Saint-Sulpice is the great church of the Luxembourg Quarter and one of the largest churches in Paris. Its broad facade, Delacroix murals, and 18th-century astronomical gnomon make it more than a quick neighbourhood church stop.
The church is also famous for its Cavaillé-Coll organ, one of the major instruments of the French symphonic organ tradition. It fits naturally into a walk through Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the Luxembourg Gardens, and the streets around Rue Bonaparte.
