The Marché aux Puces de Vanves is one of Paris's best flea markets and far less touristic than the massive Clignancourt market in the north. Around 400 dealers set up along the avenues of Marc Sangnier and Georges Lafenestre every Saturday and Sunday morning, selling furniture, vintage clothes, old photographs, Art Deco objects, jewellery, African art, and all manner of curiosities.
Saturday mornings draw the serious buyers who arrive early for the best finds. Sundays are more relaxed and family-friendly. The market runs from about 7:00 to 13:00 on Avenue Marc Sangnier and until mid-afternoon on Avenue Lafenestre. Take the Metro to Porte de Vanves.
