Church of Achi

The Church of Achi is a medieval village church near Ozurgeti. The single-nave building dates from the 13th or 14th century and is known for its well-preserved frescoes, which make it more rewarding than its small size suggests.

It is a good rural heritage stop if you have transport around Guria. Pair it with Shemokmedi Monastery or Likhauri Church for a fuller half-day outside Ozurgeti.
