Dachau is on the Munich S-Bahn network, served by the S2 line. Trains run every 20 minutes from Munich city centre (Munich Hauptbahnhof or Marienplatz) and reach Dachau Bahnhof in about 25 minutes. A standard Munich day ticket (including the outer zone) covers the journey.
From Dachau Bahnhof, bus 726 goes directly to the concentration camp memorial; bus 720 serves the old town centre and the castle. By car, take the A8 motorway from Munich and exit at Dachau; the memorial has its own car park.
