Fürth is one of the easiest day trips in Bavaria. The U1 U-Bahn line connects Fürth Hauptbahnhof to Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof in about 15 minutes; trains run every few minutes and the journey requires only a standard VGN network ticket. From Nuremberg, Fürth is effectively a suburb on the metro map.
By regional train (S-Bahn and RE services), connections from Erlangen to the north and Ansbach to the southwest also stop at Fürth. If you are arriving by car, parking in the Altstadt is metered but usually available. The A73 autobahn connects Fürth directly to Nuremberg and the broader Bavarian network.
